QuadraNet and NANOG traveled to the windy city, for NANOG 67. NANOG meets three times a year and this June it took place at the Fairmont Millennium Park luxury hotel in downtown Chicago, IL. The event took place just minutes away from QuadraNet’s Chicago datacenter.
Nick Carlson, Chief Technology Officer for QuadraNet, attended the three-day event on behalf of the company. When asked about the many informative sessions throughout the three days, Nick responded with “I found the session titled ‘Elliptic Curves To the Rescue’, which talked about Elliptical curve cryptography for DNSSEC, most interesting.” Roland van Rijswijk-Deij from SURFnet was the presenter for this session.
Events like NANOG always offers great face-to-face networking opportunities, and Chicago did not disappoint. “Beer ’n Gear” which took place on the 2nd evening of the conference was excellent for not only meeting new contacts but also a great chance to get together with old friends. At Chicago’s “Beer ’n Gear”, QuadraNet had the opportunity to catch up with Radware, their DDoS partner as well as meet many other attendees.
This October, NANOG 68 will take place near another QuadraNet datacenter in Dallas, TX. If you are interested in attending, mark your calendars for October 17, 2016, through October 19, 2016. QuadraNet hopes to see you there.
